The Brooks Heritage Foundation (BHF) was founded in 1987 to preserve and protect the rich history associated with Brooks Air Force Base (now Brooks City-Base), and to educate the public on the important role of aerospace medicine research, development and education in sustaining the national security of the United States.

Hangar 9
Built in 1918, Hangar 9 is the only remaining World War I era wooden aircraft hangar in the United States. It is a National Historic Landmark.
Annex
This World War II era building houses Flight Nursing and Aeromedical Evacuation memorabilia as well as the BHF
Gift Shop.
Sidney Brooks Memorial
This memorial honors Lt. Sidney J. Brooks, a World War I era pilot and namesake of Brooks Air Force Base.
Gift Shop
The BHF gift shop features a unique and extensive collection of fine gifts, books, children's toys, and custom design t-shirts.
