The Brooks Heritage Foundation (BHF) was founded in 1987 to
preserve and protect the rich history associated with Brooks Air Force Base
(now Brooks City-Base), and to educate the public on the important role
of aerospace medicine research, development and education in sustaining
the national security of the United States.

Hangar
9
Built in 1918, Hangar
9 is the only remaining World War I era wooden aircraft
hangar in the United States. It is a National Historic
Landmark. |

This World War II era building houses Flight Nursing
and Aeromedical Evacuation memorabilia as well as
the BHF

Sidney
Brooks Memorial
This memorial honors Lt. Sidney J. Brooks, a World
War I era pilot and namesake of Brooks Air Force
Base. |
