The Aeromedical Evacuation Annex is housed in a World War II era building that was saved from demolition by the Brooks Heritage Foundation in 1992. The building was relocated from its orignal site at Brooks and was renovated and restored to its WWII configuration. The renovation project won the USAF Historical Preservation Award for 1992. The Annex houses the collection of memorabilia to Flight Nursing and Aeromedical Evacuation as well as the BHF Gift Shop
